SATLOC™ M3 GPS SYSTEM

Featuring a bright, backlit LCD display, a powerful 233 MHz processor,128MB of RAM, a 1 Gig Solid State Drive, and a 64 Meg PCMCIA slot for data transfer, this system is a complete solution to precision application. 

A moving map displays the current field, sprayed and non-sprayed swaths, speed, position, and more!  Optional flow control hardware allows precise gallons per acre application, down-wind or
up-wind! 

The Satloc M3 is the latest in Satloc's new line of guidance system hardware.


The Satloc M3 provides guidance to an accuracy of within 3 feet (1 meter), allowing you to fly and spray precise patterns, reducing fuel, flying time, and spraying costs. The Satloc M3 provides a moving map that guides the pilot using the lightbar and graphical display. The graphical map provides visual guidance for situational awareness and for determining if passes have been missed.


Other Benefits
GIS file support - upload GIS shape files and plan missions from ESRI Shape, DXF, and MID/MIF file formats using Satloc’s MapStar software (included in this purchase - Mapstar information below).

Marks and waypoints - set navigation marks and waypoints and navigate back to those points (Satloc M3 automatically sets a mark at your last sprayed point by default, allowing you to quickly pick up work where you left off).

Real-time area computation - automatically calculate the sprayed area/total field area, taking into account hazards such as bodies of water.

Data logging - logs allow you to track time and date, position at each logging interval, altitude and heading, wind speed and direction, GPS information, mark locations, flow rate, and more. You can then replay your logs to review your application work on the display screen or to print graphical reports of areas sprayed and chemical amounts applied using Satloc’s MapStar software.

Flexible swath guidance - standard spray patterns match the most common patterns aerial pilots fly when spraying their fields. Define the shape of any area you wish to fly and receive guidance.

Flow Control Ready - when ready add the AerialACE Flow Control system which offers both constant and variable rate flow control with chemical flow variation rates of less than 2%! Connect the flow control hardware and install software. Calibrate your flow valve and meter and you’re ready to go.

Support for third-party hardware - such as Weather systems.

How It Works
Using GPS data from the receiver and simple commands the pilot inputs his desired swatch width and chosen pattern for the job using the touchscreen; the lightbar provides highly accurate guidance. This allows you to create consistently spaced rows and to match the shape of any field. The graphic display screen provides additional real-time job status information, such as swath deposition, field boundaries, and mark points.

Satloc™ offers a complete "set and forget" flow control system with flow variation rates of less than 2 percent!  

Flow control allows the pilot to concentrate on maneuvers outside of the cockpit, decreasing pilot fatigue and increasing accuracy.

MAPSTAR™ FOR WINDOWS™


Mapstar™ software graphically displays, prints and analyzes data logged with a SATLOC guidance system - look at the jobs after they have been flown from the convenience of your office. Especially useful for evaluation flight jobs, pilots and dispute resolution with clients. Tells exact flight path, time, swath width etc. This is a very powerful management tool.

Also allows pilots and the support team to complete pre-flight mission planning, review data logs, and even print and view maps showing flow rates (with optional flow control systems from Satloc™).
